ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Trail with a great naturalistic charm immersed in one of the last natural forests of Italy. The path runs along beautiful paths, surrounded by watercourses and tropical lush vegetation. For centuries this forest has inspired popular legends, and it choosen by producers of Harry Potter saga like a location to shot some scenes of the movie.
Along the way will cross some little rivers, and on the border of the trail you will notice the presence of giant oaks, the biggest ones heigh over 30 meters. These ancient trees are called the Wise of the forest, and their stories tell of ancient times and magic.
Going on we will arrive to Argimusco upland, a mysterous naturalistic and archaeological site with a great emotional impact. Up there we will discover the megaliths, are huge sandstones with bizarre anthropomorphic and zoomorphic shapes, no one knows how formed these rocks.
The upland is located over 1000 meter above see level, this is the perfect point to have fantastic views of mount Etna, sea and the beautiful Aeolian Islands.
