DESCRIPTION
Etna and Alcantara Tour starts with the pick-up at your accommodation. In 40-minutes around we will reach east side of Etna, where the tour start with the first stage:
TREK
Part of the morning will be dedicated to a short trek along lateral craters up an altitude of 2000 meters. Through a path between woods and lava flows, we will reach the edge of some volcanic cones, rising up to the peaks and surrounded by suggestive volcanic landscape, we will sight the beautiful coast of Sicily.
CAVING SESSION
A short caving session is the second stage of the tour, during which we will cross one of the most famous lava tube of Etna with helmets and torches, discovering some interesting geological phenomena.
LUNCH (NOT INCLUDED)
The lunch break will be in Etna chalet located in the middle of a wonderful pine forest. Here you can choose between a menù of € 10 per person (includes bruschetta, first course and drinks), or a menù of € 7 (includes sandwich and drink). It's also possible to bring box lunch and eating it in the area outside the chalet.
CASTIGLIONE DI SICLIA & ALCANTARA GORGES
The afternoon stage of the tour we will bring us towards Castiglione di Sicilia, where we will stop to discover the history and ancient Sicilian cultures. From here we move to the Alcantara river where will reach the beach in front at the gorges, here will be possible stay on the little beach or go inside the lava canyon using flip-flops or waterproof shoes suitable for rocky surface.
RETURN
The return to accommodation is scheduled around 5:00 pm.

TRANSPORT
The prices includes the pick-up and drop-off service. The pick-up is agreed during the booking and guaranteed only in the areas close to Taormina.

For who staying outside the area where the pick-up is guaranteed, it's possible to reach a meeting point agreed during the booking.
