FROM TAORMINA TO CATANIA
ETNA JEEP TOUR HALF DAY
Half-day jeep tour include pick-up at your accommodation. On board 4x4 vehicles equipped for off-road on volcanic trails, we start towards the first stage of the tour, driving through woods and lava fields along the Mareneve road up to 1800 meters. A short walk bring us along the crest of the huge Valle del Bove, a big volcanic depression with walls over 1000 meters high. The second stage will lead us on the edge of some lateral craters, from the highest points you will enjoy beautiful panoramic sea views. After the craters, a short drive on board the jeeps will take us inside a volcanic cave. With helmets and torches we will cross the volcanic canal, stopping on the most particular geological phenomenas. At the end of caving session is scheduled the return at your accommodation between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.

ETNA JEEP TOUR TOP CRATER
The Top Crater jeep tour includes pick-up at your accommodation. Until reach the altitude of 3000 meters the program of this tour is the same as described for the Etna 3k Tour. The Top Crater goes up to the summit areas of mount Etna an altitude of 3340 meters. Got off from the 4x4 vehicles we will start with an high-altitude trek accompanied by volcanological guides. Walking along a charming volcanic trail, we will reach the edge of one of the summit craters of Etna. The trekking is quite challenging, it will takes 2 hours 30 minutes around to ascent and descent with a difference of 450 meters around. Along the way you will be surrounded by spectacular landscapes like fumaroles, sulphurous gases emissions, stunning sea views. You will walk on the roof of Sicily, over one of the most imposing volcano of the world, home of Hephaestus, god of fire.

ETNA 3K TOUR, VOLCANOLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
The Etna 3k tour at the Volcanological Observatory will take you to the feet of the majestic active craters of Etna, the North-East, the Central crater and the South-East. The ascent will be on board 4x4 vehicles up to the volcanological observatory. From this position it will be possible admire the volcanic plateau where the 4 summit craters of Etna are located, with a unique view of the South-East crater, it could gives you the spectacle of a new explosion*. A short trek will lead you to the majestic volcanic depression of the Valle del Bove, with its walls and peaks of volcanic rock over 1k meters high. Most part of the trail will take place along lava fields, typical lunar landscapes, and inactive craters, with wonderful views of the Ionian coast and Taormina. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and is accessible to anyone. During the return to the station there is a further stop during which you will discover the phenomenon of the subterminal eruptions of Etna.

ETNA JEEP TOUR ETNA & ALCANTARA
The morning program of the Etna Alcantara jeep tour is the same with the half-day tour. The full day tour includes a lunch break of 45 minutes to one of the most characteristic high-altitude shelters of Etna (lunch is not included, the participants can have lunch at the shelter, price from 5€ to 20 € based on the menù chosen, or have their lunch box). After the break, we leave for the visit of the Alcantara Gorges, a very famous naturalistic site in the Alcantara park, every years visited by thousand of tourists coming from all parts in the world. We will not reveal anything about, leaving in you the curiosity to discover the show of the columnar basalts of the gorges. The return is scheduled around 5.00pm.
